FBKT Strengthens Industrial Ties: FGV Becomes Latest Strategic Partner
Tanah Merah, 21 July – The Faculty of Bioengineering and Technology (FBKT), Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK), continues to strengthen its collaboration with industry as a delegation from the Energy Technology Programme conducted an official visit to FGV Tanah Merah today.
The delegation was led by the Programme Coordinator for Energy Technology, Dr. Iqbal, accompanied by lecturers PM Dr. Hakimin, Dr. Azfi, Dr. Zul Izzi, and Dr. Hidayani. The visit aimed to explore strategic collaboration opportunities between academia and the industrial sector, particularly in the fields of energy and engineering technology.
Key discussion points included potential collaborations in student industrial training, joint research projects, technology transfer, as well as industry involvement in curriculum enhancement and human capital development.
FBKT emphasized that the involvement of industry players like FGV is crucial in shaping a more dynamic and practical educational direction—aligned with the real demands of today’s job market, especially in renewable energy and green technology development.
This visit is hoped to mark the beginning of a broader collaboration between UMK and FGV, paving the way for graduates who are not only theoretically competent but also ready to contribute directly to national industrial development.
